It seems the community has died off. I'm as of now not going to give up...but as I can't exactly give it a lot of attention theres not much that can be done unless anyones willing to step up and help with promotion.
Helping promote this community can be done in a number of ways...actually posting banners...or creating new ones.

Why do men hate lesbians? Is it because we are women they can't have?

Intro to me i guess. Hi i'm jenn i am friends with the creator and graphic whore. i am straight but open-minded, and am in the GSA at our school. I have a horse and he is my life so i talk about him alot. He is the child i will never have. *shudders at the thought of having kids* i am also obsessed with grey's anatomy.

Speaking of, emily i wanted to tell you that on last night's i was impressed that they didn't make a big deal about the fact there were two dads, and the role could just as easily have been played by a dad and a mum. So i was really impressed.

the end.

This totally blew me away. o.O

Did you know that in the U.S. that 6-14 million children were adopted and raised by gay parents???

That's incredible! I know it's an American fact, but it's still important, considering that they don't have the right to marriage over there.

I really hope the Conservatives do not get a majority government this election. >< Stephen Harper can rot in hell!

Go NDP! Woot! ^^

It is nice to be able to meet you. ^.^ See ya laters! <3

School Expels Girl For Having Gay Parents
by The Associated Press

Posted: September 23, 2005 11:00 am ET

(Ontario, California) A 14-year-old student was expelled from a Christian school because her parents are lesbians, the school's superintendent said in a letter.

Shay Clark was expelled from Ontario Christian School on Thursday.

"Your family does not meet the policies of admission," Superintendent Leonard Stob wrote to Tina Clark, the girl's biological mother.

Stob wrote that school policy requires that at least one parent may not engage in practices "immoral or inconsistent with a positive Christian life style, such as cohabitating without marriage or in a homosexual relationship," The Los Angeles Times reported in Friday's edition.

Stob could not be reached for comment by the newspaper. Shay and her parents said they won't fight the ruling.

School administrators learned of the parents' relationship this week after Shay was reprimanded for talking to the crowd during a football game, Tina Clark said.

Clark and her partner have been together 22 years and have two other daughters, ages 9 and 19.

In January parents at a Roman Catholic school in Orange County the diocese of violating church doctrine by allowing a gay couple to enroll their children in a school in Costa Mesa. (story)

The group demanded that St. John the Baptist School accept only families that pledge to abide by Catholic teachings.

alright then...policies of admission? wtf?

School GSAs [06 Sep 2005|07:46pm]
Hello all,

Now that school has started I wanted to ask anyone who has any ideas or knows of what a GSA would/can do in/for their school. My school started one last year...but we didnt really have an idea what to do. I've heard its common for schools to have GSAs in some places and I've heard those GSAs do things. Perhaps someone in this community could give me and anyone else wondering a hand with ideas.

Unimportantness.. [30 Aug 2005|09:13pm]

Okay, so this is kind of a short personal rambling post but since this is the GLBT place to go and talk about stuff I'll just spew it out here. So yes, rethinking or just considering my bisexualityness, well I have been for a long while, and keep coming back to the thought that I am infact not. I think maybe I am just straight and mistook myself because I'm very open minded. So maybe my capacity here will be as more of an "ally." But yes, so I've decided I don't really want to think of myself as bi, because I don't really think I am... but also for some reason I don't like saying I'm straight either, maybe because I don't like labels of any kind, so I've decided finally that I don't know shit and I don't want to classify myself as anything. Okay thats all.......

Introduction [13 Aug 2005|11:51am]

Okay, I came across a link for the community, and figured that I would take a look, and possibly join. So here I am. While I am here I figured I would give an introduction to who I am.

My name is Allison, I am in the Niagara Region of Ontario, and have lived there for my entire life. I have been out since November '04. I have an amazing girlfriend who I have been with for almost 9 months. I am somewhat involved with the local queer community, by attending the youth events that I can. Our city just this past summer, raised the pride flag in front of city hall, for the first time ever, during our pride week, which is a huge accomplishment.

I am lucky enough to attend a school which is like a giant GSA, where there is very little/no homophobia.

I was suppose to be going camping with our local gay youth group, but we got rained out on (thunder/lightning storms, suck)

That is about all there is too know about me.

Same Sex Marriage Article in Off-Centre Magazine [08 Aug 2005|04:53pm]

Just thought I'd transcribe and share this article from the independant Thompson-Okanagan magazine; Off Centre - Volume 6 Issue 8, August 2005. Very interesting, well written and persuasive. I think it sums up the case quite accurately. Kamloops and surrounding residents may have already read it, but for anyone else here it is:
